In September, the whole of Europe returned from their summer holidays, sparking a flurry of trade shows in the European world of online advertising. As such, Marin’s 80-strong European team were out and about speaking, sharing best practices, and exhibiting at various trade shows and conferences across the UK, France and Germany. We’re excited to share a quick round-up of where we’ve been, what we’ve seen and what we’ve heard.
Dmexco – Cologne, Germany
Without a doubt the largest European tradeshow in the digital marketing industry, Dmexco was a great couple of days packed with large brands, thought leaders, insightful talks and giant stands! A key theme that came up throughout the show was how the use of mobile devices is affecting the online advertising industry. Marc Hoeft, Marin’s Client Services Director for the DACH region, shared his thoughts on how the proliferation of mobile devices is changing search marketing in the DACH region (download the white paper).
OMMA Display Europe – London, UK
Mediapost’s OMMA events made their way over to the UK this year and were well received by London’s online media industry. A key theme across the two days was attribution. Jon Myers, Marin’s EMEA Commercial Director, shared his thoughts on how the new viewable display impression will impact the world of attribution. He also shared some insights from StylistPick’s case study and why Facebook Ads should be viewed in an attribution model.
Ecommerce Paris – Paris, France
Ecommerce Paris is France’s largest show in the French ecommerce industry. A three day show packed with fantastic insights on key trends occurring in France’s unique online industry. Marin’s Product Consultant, Florent Toth, presented his thoughts on how mobile is affecting the French search market, leveraging insights from our French mobile whitepaper. Florent was followed by Marin’s Sales Director, David Bianovici, who presented our Facebook Advertising tips along with examples from our X-PRIME GROUPE case study.
ad:tech London – London, UK
We rounded out Marin’s tour of Europe with a trip to ad:Tech London. An established show in the UK, ad:tech continues to deliver insights from industry thought leaders. This year, mobile was a hot topic as a result of the show’s extended Innovation and Mobile Hub. Jon Myers stepped up to the podium for the second time in a week to give his thoughts on how mobile devices are impacting search marketing in the UK.
